                                           MOLLY AND HENNA
MOLLY

HENNA with ROB

I accompanied my brother who was visiting Janne with the intent of selecting a kitten only to find she also bred mini schnauzers. It was my kind of heaven; cats, gorgeous garden, great hospitality AND schnauzers.
A couple of months later I was invited to pick up my very own bundle of cheeky, fluffy gorgeousness. Already having two large dogs, we were concerned how Molly would integrate into the family however our fears were quickly dissipated when this bulshy pup confidently started taking the boys morning bones. The only problem we encountered was that Molly wasn’t able to satisfactorily play without being squashed with her larger brother’s enthusiasm. The solution; get another schauzie!
Henna joined us five hectic months ago. Each of our pack of playful pooches now have someone their own size to tease and play chase with – the cat even joins in.
If you are after a cuddle loving, happy, well-adjusted pet, I can’t recommend Janne more and am often giving out her contact details to adoring dog fans who are impressed by our schnauzies..

RAFA

Thanks, Janne and Pete, for all your time and communication during the process of our puppy purchase. We appreciate that you always had the time and information we needed. Rafa has settled well into his new home. He is very loving and cuddly yet also energetic and fun. Rafa has adjusted well to living with two active children and a cat who is the boss. He has been busy meeting other people and dogs and is doing very well.
Rafa is an amazing pup and we couldn’t be happier. We have only had him for two weeks yet he is already an integral member of our family. Again, thank you.

PEARL

"PEARL" lives in Waikino with our neighbours Kerri and Mike.

Max, a white schnauzer cross will be Pearls buddy and they will have a great life with a small lifestyle block and lots of critters to look after. She and Max are able to go to work with Mike on a stud farm with lots of rabbits to find.

Mike has had various breeds of dogs all his life and Pearl is Kerri's first dog.

Keri and Pearl

Pearl was originally to be "Ziggie" but whilst walking her home after collecting her, we commented "What a little Pearler she is" so Pearl she became.

Pearl was in excellent condition when we took her, a tribute to Janne's dedication and love of the animals in her care.

Pearl is lucky to have her sister, Mum and Grandma living around the corner so she gets to visit and have playtime. She specially likes to play fight with Josie her sister - almost as much as she enjoys her food! She also loves to play with big bro Max a schnauzer cross, and is the typically annoying little sister!

Recently Pearl started riding on the quad bike with Max.

She's our little "ratbag" and we love her that way. It is no wonder she chose us to live with as she suits our family perfectly!

                                                   RUBY

"Ruby" lives with Phil and Julie in Hamilton. She will go to work with Phil each day and co-skipper on his boat. We look forward to her visits when they visit their holiday home in Whangamata.

"Ruby slept most of the way home. She had some biscuits and goats milk when she got home.

She's been quite relaxed and very loving, and has slept most of her first day since she arrived.

Ruby is very cute and we love her already! So far she has been very good. Will send updates.    Cheers Julie"

Hi Jan, Ruby is fitting in very well.. She has just had a big weekend at Whangamata. We took her for a walk on the beach where she took everything in and she walked into the water no problem - she really enjoyed it.

She has also been out in our boat fishing for the day. It didn't seem to affect her at all, nothing seems to faze her.

She has been at work with me today and has slept quite a bit of the day. Tonight she's running round here and there. Ruby is a very calm dog.      Phil.

                                                "PEPPER"

'PEPPER' has flown to Dunedin to be with Felicia.

Felicia says, Pepper is a real sweetheart! She's an absolute joy to be around. She's getting on very well with our other dog Toffee. She responds to her name and has mastered getting up and down the staircase.

She loves to be around Luke and I and follows us everywhere. Pepper loves cuddling with us on the bed.

She's very intelligent and has been a breeze to house train with very few accidents. She watches us closely and is constantly eager to please, with her incredibly sweet and energetic nature.  We are going to take her to puppy school.

Our friends and family have photos of her and we have received so many compliments about her.

Pepper's filled our house with love and laughter and I enjoy coming home and seeing her little face at the door.

Janne has been very easy to deal with and you can see she really cares for her dogs and puppies.

THUMBS UP!!

Update on Pepper 15 weeks old.

Pepper is such a cutie!

Luke and I have been really impressed with her intelligence and ability to learn quickly.

She is effectively potty trained although she is so young, our other puppy is a few months older than Pepper and still not potty-trained.

Pepper loves being around us and cannot bear to be separated which shows she really loves us. We took her to the pet groomer and she was well behaved at first but became very sad when we left her.
Pepper's had a puppy trim

She is very inquisitive and loves to be outside in the garden. She likes to smell flowers.

I could write a novel about Pepper. I love how Pepper always sits on my lap after a long day. She is such a cuddly dog and my new best friend. She is gorgeous, sweet natured, a cherished family companion and a million other things. I cannot say enough about her!

So many people have asked us where we got Pepper from.

                                                GRACE

'GRACE' lives in Manly with Robyn and Clive. Later in the year she will move to Kerikeri.

She will also co-skipper on Clive and Robyns boat.

Grace with Robyn and Clive
"We knew we would love her, but within a day of bringing her home, Clive and I were totally in love with our beautiful miniature schnauzer (Amazing Grace)

She has it all - she's cute beyond words, gentle, loving, energetic, boisterous and bold.

Only a few accidents inside but otherwise she's responded well to "potty" training.

We were such proud parents watching how she coped with her 1st puppy classes only a day after we brought her home.

Our family and friends have all fallen in love with her, I expect you to receive several calls enquiring about your next litter Janne. We know we were lucky to find you Janne and we will recommend you to anyone wanting this breed of pup.

Thank you Janne for such a precious gift. Robyn and Clive

Hi Janne, second puppy school for Grace and we are so proud of her! She socialises well with every puppy there and is calm and mature even with a very large, constantly barking puppy.

We have had many positive comments from people who meet her, saying they are so pleased she has her full tail.  Robyn

                                            "JOSIE"

Josie is the puppy we chose to keep for ourselves. She is called Josie as it is a mix of her mum's and grandma's names Jollie and Macie. Josie will be a silver when she matures so looking forward to a different color. Like the litter mates Josie is delightful, an intelligent, gentle, smart puppy. She moved into the house yesterday when her last litter mate left and has fitted in seamlessly - no whoops in the house so far. She slept right through on her first night but of course, easy to be relaxed when mum and grandma are close by. She discovered the morning ritual of onto the bed in the morning with the big girls, start the day with a group hug, and she reckons that's a bit of her thanks!

She will be attending puppy classes with her litter sister Pearl when she is 10 weeks old.

Josie - not big enough to jump onto balcony yet - give it a week or so.

Like his litter mates he is gentle, a quick learner, has been easy to house train and is very cute! Pete wants to keep him as he is the only other male in the house hold but Ana says "NO!"

BARAM

In March this year 3 things happened which led to Baram entering my life. I was at a cafe and "met" a beautiful mini schnauzer there. Later that day I encountered another lovely mini with his owner. When I got home my husband told me that Janne Leeds had phoned to say that she had a new litter of puppies. I took this as the 3rd omen of the day and phoned her immediately, and went to see the 4 newborn puppies.

I had owned both a giant and standard schnauzer in the past, and was considering a mini this time. The puppies and their Mother were adorable, and I asked Janne to choose a small,
Maddy and Baram

BARAM
sweet natured pup which she thought would suit me best.  Baram (which means the chosen one) was to be the puppy for me and I loved him straight away and visited him regularly as he grew.

My husband and I were due to move house at about the time Baram was 8 weeks old, but Janne offered to keep him on at her place with her dogs till we could take him, which I really appreciated.

When I picked him up he was beautiful, healthy, housetrained, used to travelling in the car and very well socialised having grown up with Janne's dogs and cats. My flatmate acquired a couple of kittens and the 3 of them played and played, such fun to watch - better than TV.

I took care of Maddy my friend's dog while she was overseas, and she and Baram were inseperable friends, doing everything together. Now that Maddy is gone, He and I are inseperable friends! He is very happy sleeping in my bedroom on his cot and soon I will teach him to sit in a babycart which I can tow behind my bike. I will keep you posted on the progress!

A big huge thank you to Janne and Pete for my lovely boy!

                                 UPDATE ON BARAM

Ana writes; BARAM is my best friend and companion. I have started singing again since my little man has been in my life and he sings along with me!

We walk together and when we reach the park, if we are alone, he is very content sniffing, chewing grass and lying in the shade with me (very relaxing.) But if we walk with one of his doggie mates, he runs around happily playing with them.

One day he was lying under the table while my husband and I were eating. I assumed he was chewing on a toy, but we soon discovered he was chewing Joseph's shoe, my husband being paralysed, he did not know - shoe kapput!

He is the best dog. I couldn't be happier Janne! He is healthy, intelligent, loyal, obedient and clean. Every day he makes me smile!

TESSA off to her new home with Ciska and Jacques

Tessa
TESSA 7 weeks
Ciska writes; We took Tessa home when she was 8 weeks old. Although she was smaller than her brothers she is catching up fast.
Friends suggested we get a crate for her bed and she is perfectly happy to spend the night in it and also when we have to go out and leave her.
Tessa is a very clever girl who learns fast and even uses the dog door to go outside for toilet even though she is only 9 weeks old!
Our grandchildren love playing with her - she is loved by all of us.
In one more week she will get her vaccination booster and can go to the beach daily.
Thank you Janne for our beautiful, clever girl
Ciska and Jacques

TESSA TURNS FIVE MONTHS AND HAS HER FIRST HAIRDO
Tessa is a very loving and intelligent pup.  She learns new things quickly. She is very sociable and loves to play with other dogs, especially my daughter's dog Chico.

Everyday we take her for a walk on the beach. We are amazed how she says "hi" to other dogs then quickly comes back to us - no need to call her over and over like some other owners, and no need for a lead, we are confident that she will come to us when called. She learned this at puppy classes.

Tessa is our dream dog, she has a fabulous personality, and loves her cuddles. We all love her so much!! We always tell people about your fantastic pups!

TACO

I got my puppy Taco from Janne.  My partner and I always wanted to have a mini schnauzer, so when we finally made the decision that we are ready, we started looking on Trade me. I chose Jan as she seemed like a very nice person and a responsible breeder. After a few phone calls and emails, we paid the deposit and started the waiting game.

Jan kept us informed all the way through. We got weekly pictures of the pups and updates on how they are doing. Jan was happy to answer any questions I had.

Finally, Taco turned 8 weeks old. His travel has been arranged prior, so Jan dropped him off at Hamilton airport. Jan kindly put a very nice hand written letter for me and some yummy doggy treats for Taco on top of his cage.

Taco arrived feeling very hungry, cold and scared. He was calling out for his litter mates and mum, and clinging on to me. Since that day, things have improved greatly. He is turning into a very confident and happy dog with a quirky personality. We love him to bits.

Taco is slowly starting to understand the idea of going outside for his toilet needs, he loves his food, loves running around and chewing on things. He hates being on the lead. He sleeps through the night, most nights. Taco is very smart and learns fast.

He has been to his first puppy class this week and totally loved it.

I can’t wait for him to get his final injections, so we can take him to the park and the beach.

Thank you Jan for the wonderful boy!!!

                               "CHALKY"

We have just loved Chalky joining our family! He is such a good little boy Smiling face with smiling eyes
The kiddies have been very gentle with him and Chalky is loving all the attention. He slept last night in the toy room (which will be where he eventually sleeps) and he was an angel yet again. We popped out yesterday to go to the shops and set him up with a pig ear... He was in the same place when we got back. He is teething a bit, but he has a ball on a rope which he loves to wrestle. He can be a bit cheeky chewing on gumboot etc, but we always direct him to something he is allowed to chew Winking face

Here's a pic of him with the kids before school today.

Thanks Janne!

                                                                           ROSIE

ROSIE

ROSIE

ROSIE

I have one of the schnauzers Jan bred approximately two and a half years back, and what a wee dear she's turned out to be. She learns so quick regarding come, stay, roll over. She just loves to be touched and stroked. She's good with other dogs - she's a bit timid at times but rather that than a bully. She lets me groom her easily, and lies any way I put her which is such a help.

She loves the car, like most dogs, and stays where I tell her to in the car while driving. She also loves our motorhome and has never been car sick.

She is never aggressive. She always watches where I am. I hear some schnauzers like the sea, but Rosie has only got her toes wet so far, but she really loves running on the beach.

I wash her face every day to keep the stain down round her mouth, which is common in many breeds. We are thinking of a good name for our motorhome - I have suggested 'Rambling Rose' to my husband. It just might be the name yet - she always knows which motor home is hers to return to, but I keep a close eye on her.

Rosie is a great dog who has always gone to the loo outside, day and night. I have no complaints regarding her, except she loves chasing the cats from next door. She eats anything I give her, she's not a faddy eater.

I have had lots of breeds in my time which I have loved, but why didn't I get a schnauzer years ago. They are a wonderful breed.

Thanks, FAY ADAMSON, INVERCARGILL

"ROCKY"

ROCKY

ROCKY

We fell in love with Rocky while on holiday three years ago. We came  away with a 10 week puppy. Jan was wonderful giving us advice and information as we are first time dog owners. Rocky is very affectionate, loves cuddles and attention.

He loves the car and has travelled far and wide with us. This summer he has really enjoyed the beach, swimming out to us while we are in the water. He usually swims between Doug and I. One trick he loves is heading the ball back to you. He would certainly make the All Whites team.

He's the first one in the car and cries with excitement when we are close to our destination. He loves socialising with all other dogs. He has no fear of other dogs, big or small. He wants to assert dominance and, once decided, it's all on for play. Yet meeting small children he will just sit still and let them pat and poke him. He has become a very affectionate adorable member of our family.

Thanks Jan and Pete for all your hospitality when we've popped in to see you with Rocky and Rocky has thoroughly enjoyed these visits.Again we say thanks for producing such a loving placid pet..

CASEY

Casey is a wonderful member of our family.  She has fitted in with what we do ever since we got her which was just over two years ago. She travels in the car well (especially loves to have her head out the window around town) and loves to come on holidays with us where she enjoys walking along the beach and smelling all the new scents she can find. She loves cuddles, jumping over things and playing hide and seek. We found her very easy to toilet train and she has learned a number of commands, especially when there is a piece of cheese as a treat involved! She is quite happy to be at home by herself during the day when need be and we all look forward to the awesome welcomes we get from her when we get home.

Casey loves to be scratched and patted and will put her paw up for a massage for more if she hasn’t had enough! She is affectionate, full of personality and a great companion who we all love and can’t imagine our life without.

"MAX"

MAX

MAX
Max - April 2015 (18 months old)

What to say about this adorable puppy who came into our lives? He stepped out of his crate after a long airplane journey, calm yet curious about his new situation. Already house trained, he sniffed around the section, sussing out his new home.

Max has a cheerful, outgoing disposition. We take him to the beach most days and he loves the chance to meet other dogs, always trotting up to socialise. He expects a good reception, no matter what the size or type of the other dog. On the odd occasion where he meets a less-than-friendly dog, he shrugs it off immediately and moves on with optimism to meet the next one.

He's been a regular rest home visitor ever since he arrived. He happily sits on the laps of the residents, bringing happiness to their days.

He's extremely eager to please, always wanting to be where we are, and doing what we're doing. When on walks, he constantly checks in, responding to our cues, making sure he's doing what we want.

He loves his toys, loves to play games with us, and fancies himself as a Rugby Sevens player with his nimble ducking and weaving to evade our capture of his toy. He was quick to learn all the lessons at puppy class, and is very obedient - he only needs to be told once to mend his ways.

He's a brilliant, funny, affectionate member of the family, who we couldn't be without. Thanks Jan and Pete!

He is always ready for  a cuddle and he loves us as much as we love him.

He likes to disappear under the house , we don't know what he does under there! Sometimes he doesn't even come out when we call him, But he always comes running out to the sound of the car horn! He loves to go for a drive and go to work.

He is very spoiled and he wouldn't expect anything less!

Thanks Jan, great to see his other family members.

"We became Poppie's parents in April 2012. She was almost 3 months old when we got her, she was in excellent condition and a very happy puppy,  as were all her siblings - it was  very hard to chose just one.

She's a great guard dog when it's needed, she lets people know that they can't just come in the gate without approval. We just love her to bits and I must admit she's very spoiled!"

We had not gone through the puppy stages before and the advice and the helpful hint page that Jan and Peter gave to us was very much  appreciated. Right from day one we fell in love with her, we knew she was the dog for us. She has the most beautiful nature and personality you could ever imagine, shes very loyal and very affectionate, she loves to have a good talk and a play with you. She was easily trained and always happy to please. Excellent around children and other animals.

HAPPY XMAS TED!

"We have had Ted (aka Teddy Bear Grylls) for almost a year now and couldn't imagine life without him. Everyday he gives us a reason to smile. From the start Ted has been a laid back puppy, super keen to meet people and dogs. His tail never stops wagging and he is always up for a cuddle. He especially loves kids, has been to school with me many times and is unfazed by being patted and cuddled in each classroom he visits.

Ted loves playing games and has invented his own form of soccer. He puts two balls in a cat bed, flips it over so the balls are underneath and then drags the whole lot around. If one of the balls gets away he pats it back under with his paws - very dexterous!

We couldn't recommend Jan and her schnauzers enough. Ted arrived in awesome condition and Jan provided us with lots of photos and snippets in the weeks before we got him."

Hi there schnauzer lovers! My name is Guzzi, I'm 6 years old and my mum Margaret chose me when I was just a baby. Mum had to sell her motoguzzi bike and I was the replacement and the best decision of her life!!
I have become a father twice and have lovely fur children - they are all chilled-out and cruisy like me.
Sometimes we visit Janne and I go walking with my mother Jollie and my grandma Macie. We all have a great time!
Mum has a doggie business called DIGS4DOGS and because she is biased, we have lots of schnauzers to stay. We all have lots of fun, everyday we all jump in the back of the 4WD and off we go to the park, playing chase, swimming, socialising.
Schnauzers are welcome for a day stay, weekend or holiday - even sleep on Mum's bed! Ssshhh!!
